Purple Toes

I have purple toes.

OK, yesterday I  had purple toes, or at least purple sticky gauze stuff wrapped around them. PJ convinced me to get my nasty, infected ingrown toenails taken care of. It's a fascinating process. The doctor cools the toes, injects a local anesthetic (which burns for a few seconds), then cuts and gouges and rips and rends until the offending roots are torn from where they shouldn't be in the first place on the sides of the nails.

Then, he puts a type of acid into where he just ripped out the roots to kill off any roots left and scar the tissue to stop future growth.

So from now on, I should have narrower nails that don't try to get my toes amputated by causing infections which could lead to gangrene.

By the way, trying to walk with numb toes aint easy, but if this works I'll never need to deal with this again.

And I'll never feel compelled to share my purple toes with the world again.

Count your blessings.
