For a few months, we've had at least one hummingbird coming around our dining room window. We like hummingbirds (as do the cats), so we figured we'd be nice and put out a couple of hummer feeders.

The hummingbird hasn't been seen since.

We have, however, attracted a family of small birds (finches or wrens - we're not sure which) that appear to have built a small nest under our roof and a Gila woodpecker who tried his best to get at the nectar in the hummingbird feeder.

Maybe we'd have better luck attracting hummers if we put out a bear trap.
