We could use a few positive thoughts

Cagney, our 10 year old cat, has been with me since she was a kitten. She's never been sick a day in her life.
Until now.
We took her to the vet this past weekend because she'd been losing weight though the rest of her behavior seemed normal. Seems she had a gum infection and had to have one tooth removed. We also got a comprehensive blood workup just in case.
She hasn't been doing well the past couple of days. She can't keep anything down and she's incredibly lethargic, so we called the vet to say we needed to bring her in. The vet called us back and had test results for us. Cagney has advanced diabetes, like her sister Callie 6 years ago, and also appears to have FIV, the feline version of HIV.
She's been vaccinated against FIV, so it's probable she was born with it. It's also probable she's spread it to our other cats, most especially Sassy since Billie and the kittens are still in isolation and may be safe from infection. The FIV may only have surfaced as a result of the gum infection and diabetes.
We're taking her to the vet in a few minutes to see if there's anything we can do for her including giving her insulin for the diabetes and whatever we can do for the FIV.
Please keep Cagney in your thoughts today. We can use all the positive vibes we can get.
