With a rebel yell...There was one test that hadn't come back when we brought Billie home from the vet's. That one, for Toxoplasmosis, has come back positive, but it's actually pretty common among cats that have spent time outside. It's a bacterial infection most often picked up by eating raw meat like whatever creatures Billie must have been hunting to stay alive before we found her.

It's treatable with antibiotics which we can mix with the food she happily gulps down, and it's very difficult to pass along to the cats, the birds, or us since she shouldn't be shedding any of the bugs that caused this disease anymore.

So, we have more medication in our cabinet now, but Billie is going to be just fine.
