The tests have come back, and our new kitty has passed with flying colors!

And, she's been named Billie.

Why Billie? PJ sent out photos of the kitty to family members and one of her sisters, Vanessa, said something about her having a "Billy Idol whiplash smile."

Seeing the photo to the right, that's hard to deny.

So, Billy mutates to Billie, and our new little girl has a new name and a new home all within the span of a few days.

So far as our vet, Dr. Petcu, can tell, Billie has had a litter, but that was several months ago. We're not sure if she's been spayed since, but we suspect not. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough one way or another.

For now, Billie is staking her claim at the new house. Cagney and Sassy will get to meet her in a little over a week after the big move. This should give her some time to put on a little weight and get more comfortable in her new home before having to be introduced to two cats who have bonded for a couple of years.

The big question is, how is Billie with birds? We'll find out after we bring the cockatiels to the house where we'll be keeping a close eye on all involved.
