We've got all the keys to the house!

We're taking over small loads of boxes every day now and we're doing a few little things around the house like, ironically, changing the locks. We're also taking down stuff that shouldn't have been put up in the first place like a fake fireplace with electric logs, a couple of very dark, rickety bookshelves, doggie gates surrounding the kitchen, and a doorway that was meant to cut off a portion of the very wide hallway to make it into a small bedroom.

There's paneling everywhere and that, coupled with the copious awnings which help keep the house cooler, and important consideration in Phoenix, makes the house much darker than we'd like it to be. Great place for vampires, but not so great for humans, cats, birds, plants, etc.

We'll be fixing that in the coming years.
